Week 6- Dec 15Mon Dec 15 classic with L3 intervals at Battle Creek (off or easy for JNQ skiers)
Tues skate at MV and wax all skis Wednesday relay at BC, dismissed 12:20, races start 2:00pm (each leg is 2.5km. Each team has 2 classic and 2 skater). Thursday OFF: if needed wax touchup/liquid can do Friday - Sunday Pre-holiday Camp fun! See details emailed out. Week 5- Dec 8Week of Dec 8-week 5- See email for details
Mon: Day before race (DBR) easy 45-60 min skate or classic ski or fine to do run/ski combo too. Try to work in 2 x 3 min. L3 (slower than race pace) to get body going. Will go over race day timelines. Need to wax both skate and classic if you have used them more than a couple hours. Pizza carboload starts at 5:15 so people can take turns skiing, waxing, and eating! Tues: Race at Les Bolstad U of Mn golf course (NOT elm) Boys varsity starts 3:40. Early dismissal 1:35. Bus leaves MV 1:50. Leaves U MN about 5:15. You can go home with parents but must communicate your plan. Wed: Classic easy ski at Wirth working on striding and if space permits sprints. Bus leaves 3:30 from MV and 5:45 Wirth. Thurs: Classic Sprint Race at Lake Elmo. Same dismissal and bus times as Tues. Friday: Ski at BC. Technique tbd. Same times as Wednesday. Sat: on your own easy distance (1.5-2.5 hr) ski. Monday: Skate roller ski at MV 9 – 11 am
Tuesday: On your own 1- 1.5 hr classic rollerski in the morning as it may rain in afternoon.
Wed: Hoping for morning practice but TBD location and activity due to snow forecast – maybe snow skiing somewhere if there is more snow than grass!

Schedule:
Practices: 1st practice is Mon. Nov. 10! Start at 3:30pm Mon – Fri at the Shed
End about 5:15 first week at MV.
Please bring outside clothing, rollerskis, skate and classic boots and poles, and running/trail shoes to practices in November. If you have older shorter poles (5-10 cm than classic), then bring them for bounding. Please be sure to have your names on all equipment.
